WHO YOU ARE

You’re an experienced technologist and consultant that has managed multiple, successful client projects. You enjoy building relationships and participating in the sales process. You thrive playing an active role in client relationship management and are comfortable discussing various technical capabilities, including but not limited to UX, Product, Dev, and DevOps, with stakeholders, client technology leadership, and other technologists. You’re excited to manage one or more client projects at Bitovi, and work with clients and Bitovi teams to ensure each project's success.

You’ll excel in this role and fit in well at Bitovi if you have:

  • 5+ years related technology experience, 3+ years technology management experience
  • BA/BS degree or related experience
  • Excellent communication skills and an interest in management, sales, and client support
  • Experience with the following: 
    • Worked on the ground as a technologist for a consulting or product team that has shipped a project to production
    • Meeting and communicating regularly with key stakeholders on projects about new or ongoing issues, including technical, staffing, or project management concerns
    • Maintaining regular communication with client teams about issues and changes on projects
    • Making staffing recommendations on projects
    • Assisting Lead Consultants with project management and technical issues on projects as needed, including project kickoffs and supporting client teams during critical periods on the project
    • Inquiring about and follow up on sales leads with key stakeholders

You will report to the Director of Consulting Services. Travel is required up to 50% for client visits and internal meetings, with additional travel possible during critical periods on a project.

WHAT YOU’LL DO AT BITOVI 

There are three aspects to this role:

  1. Account Management
  2. Project Oversight and Technical Success
  3. People Support and Coaching

Account Management: You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for specific clients and maintain a strong relationship.

Account Management Responsibilities include:

  • Building a strong client relationship through regular check-ins and in-person meetings
  • Extracting and sharing feedback from client and addressing it quickly
  • Managing contracts and budgets
  • Exploring new opportunities for inside sales
  • Developing, improving, and documenting company best practices around Account Management

How you'll be evaluated:

  • Regular communications and meetings with each client 
  • Feedback from clients is solicited, shared and addressed or escalated as needed
  • Success with inside sales and contract renewals
  • Activities are documented and best practices are shared with others in Bitovi
  • Client happiness with support received, project velocity, and Bitovi team (measured on a bi-annual basis through numeric scores)

Project Oversight and Technical Success:  You will proactively work with Lead Consultants to define and achieve project success.

Project oversight and technical success responsibilities include:

  • Conducting project kick-off, sync, and wrap-up/post-mortem meetings
  • Ensuring best practices (the "Bitovi Way") are being followed
  • Facilitating knowledge sharing among team members and Bitovi
  • Keeping Bitovi Directors updated on project status
  • Helping Lead Consultants identify and address obstacles and challenges
  • Developing, improving, and documenting company best practices around Project Oversight and Technical Success
  • Providing additional consulting bandwidth as necessary

How you'll be evaluated:

  • Project checklists are regularly updated and action items are addressed timely
  • Projects are kicked off, managed, and wrapped up per Bitovi standard procedures
  • Activities are documented and best practices are shared with others in Bitovi
  • Technical challenges are supported in a timely fashion
  • Team training/skill-set needs are identified and resourced accordingly

People Support and Coaching:   You will support and develop Bitovians on successful client engagements.

People support and coaching responsibilities include:

  • Extracting feedback from Bitovians re: challenges with clients and addressing it quickly
  • Developing, improving, and documenting company best practices around working with clients
  • Training Bitovians on best practices (new-hire and on-going training)
  • Sharing feedback on Lead Consultants and individual team members for annual reviews

How you'll be evaluated:

  • Feedback from Bitovians is addressed or escalated, and shared with client as needed
  • Activities are documented and best practices are shared with others in Bitovi
